1. About these terms

These terms apply when you use https://madrasmart.com/ and when you order from MadrasMart. In these terms “we”, “us” and “our” mean MadrasMart, and “you” means the person using the website or placing an order.

By using the website or placing an order you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

2. Using this website

• You must be at least 18 years old to place an order, or order with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian.
• Please give us accurate details (name, delivery address and mobile number) so we can deliver your order.
• Do not misuse the website: no attempts to break its security, copy it in bulk, send spam through its forms or place fake orders.
• Your cart, wishlist, compare list and recently viewed items are saved only in your own browser. To show current prices and availability, the product numbers in them are checked against our store catalogue. Clearing your browser data removes them, and we cannot recover them.

3. Products and prices

• All prices are in Indian Rupees (₹) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
• Where a product photo is shown, it is for illustration. Packaging and design may differ from the photo.
• For items sold by weight (for example per kg), the final quantity and amount are confirmed with you during order processing.
• Prices and availability shown on the website come from our store system and can change. If a price or availability changes while you are ordering, the website asks you to review your order before it is sent. The final price is confirmed with you before your order is accepted.
• We may limit the quantity of an item per order.

4. Placing an order

1. Add products to your cart and fill in your details at checkout.
2. Choosing Place order on WhatsApp opens WhatsApp with your order already written. Your order is sent when you send that message to us on +91 90874 44555.
3. Sending the message is an offer to buy. A contract is made only when we confirm your order on WhatsApp or by phone, with the items, total, delivery charge (if any) and delivery slot.
4. We may decline or part-fill an order, for example if an item is out of stock, the address is outside our delivery area, or the order looks fraudulent. You will not be charged for anything we cannot supply.

5. Payment

• We currently accept cash on delivery and UPI on delivery (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm and other UPI apps). Please pay the confirmed amount to our delivery person or to the UPI ID we give you.
• We do not ask for, collect or store card numbers, CVV, UPI PINs or bank passwords. MadrasMart staff will never ask you for an OTP or PIN.
• If other payment methods are introduced, these terms will be updated.

6. Delivery

• Delivery availability, charges and estimated delivery time are confirmed during order processing. Please share your PIN code when you order.
• Please check your items when they arrive.

7. Cancelling an order

8. Returns, replacements and refunds

9. Warranty

Where a product carries a manufacturer’s warranty, that warranty is provided by the manufacturer on the manufacturer’s terms.

10. Offers and coupons

• The website does not currently offer discounts, offers or coupons. If any are introduced, their conditions will be stated with them.

11. Reviews and comments

The website does not currently publish customer reviews or comments.

12. Intellectual property

The MadrasMart name, logo, website design, text and our own photos belong to MadrasMart and may not be copied or reused without our written permission. Brand names and logos of products we sell belong to their owners.

13. Limitation of liability

• We take care to keep the website accurate and available, but we do not promise it will always be error-free or uninterrupted.
• To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable.
• Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
• Links to other websites and services, such as WhatsApp and Google Maps, are provided for convenience. Their own terms apply to your use of them.

14. Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delays or failure to deliver caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as floods, cyclones, heavy rain, strikes, government orders, or network and power failures. We will tell you as soon as we can and you may cancel an affected order.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu have jurisdiction, without affecting your right as a consumer to approach a consumer commission.

We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within one month of receiving them.
